I just heard back from an editor. She wants to offer me a contract for my memoir, The Next Fifteen Minutes. I’m so thrilled. When I read her email, I got so excited that I jumped on my bed, bumped into the edge of the bedpost and got a pretty good-sized goose egg right on my quad. So much for grace and humility.
Six weeks ago I attended the PNWA Writer’s Conference, and while I met several agents and a few editors that I would end up sending pages to, I definitely had my “eye” on a few. I figured that a perfect trio (me, my agent, an editor) to bring this memoir about would be the very ones I am now about to sign with.
When the ink is dry, as they say, I will let you all know more. But I don’t want to jinx it.
Pretty soon The Next Fifteen Minutes will be on your neighborhood bookstore. Yahoo!
